Originally, the term babymoon or “baby moon,” meant the initial period of time a mother would spend with her new child. However, over the past 10 years or so, a babymoon has become synonymous with a vacation a couple takes before the birth of a child.

A new baby brings with it the understanding that your funds will be depleted, your time will be drained and you will likely not have the resources necessary to take a well-deserved vacation.
